Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500M

ScanSnap S1500M designed especially for Macintosh users is now faster, simpler and easier. It is now also equipped with ultrasound multi-feed detection for the first time in a scanner in this market segment, ensuring that the front and back images originate from the same sheet scanned. The scanning speed is 20 sheets per minute at 200 dpi resolution, A4 size, single or double sided, black and white or colour. Maximum output resolution is 1200 dpi. Document sizes from business cards up to A3 can be scanned, the latter using the optional carrier sheet.

By a press of a button the documents are scanned and converted to searchable PDF files, in black and white or colour, single or double sided. It comes bundled with well known software and the Quick Menu function offers easy access to options such as scan to folder, email, printer, iPhoto, or ABBYY OCR (Optical Character Recognition).

ScanSnap S1500M automatically detects if a document should be output in black and white or colour, the size of the page scanned, eliminate blank pages, and corrects (deskew) misaligned text. With the included software also the text orientation may be automatically adjusted. These functions combined result in efficiency and minimum file sizes reducing storage space and network transfer time.
